Mudo - Our Vision
Grand Master Kim Yong Ho 9th Dan states "Taekwondo is not the property of one nation, it belongs to everybody in the world who chooses its way."
To this aim we welcome and encourage membership into the BTMA for Taekwondo practictioners who wish to follow the traditional aspects of Taekwondo, as well as sport fighting, and embrace the Mudo way. As a member of the BTMA, an organisation and/or individuals can expect to be afforded a high level of ethical standards, professionalism, respect, and cooporation in achieving all of our objectives.
Membership is open to all clubs, organisations, and individuals.
Membership Objectives
Full members:
Full membership is available to all clubs and associations who are willing to embrace the Mudo philosophy. This would include :
Full members are afforded full Voting rights, with their Chief Instructor or designate actively encouraged to have there say in the development of the BTMA
Associate members:
Associate membership is open to all clubs and associations who would like to adopt the Mudo way but would still like to practice their own patterns and method of one step sparring, with the basic membership criteria as :
Whilst Associate Membership does not afford the members full voting rights, they are non the less actively encoured to participate in the development of the BTMA.
Individual members:
The BTMA is open to individual members. Individual members must conform fully to the rules of associate members. Individuals will not have any voting rights regardless of any position held.
Membership Procedure:
All Membership is via application to the BTMA, using the appropriate forms contained within the Download sections of this website. All members must conform with the rules and regulations and code of ethical standards of the BTMA and the BTC. In some circumstances it may be necessary for the BTMA to seek approval from the BTC for some instructors.
All instructors must agree to attend the BTC national instructor course and any subsequent courses in order to conform to the law of the land. Members must also adopt the Child protection policy of the BTC.
Instructors must purchase instructor indemnity insurance and member to member insurance through the BTC. These must be sent to the registrar who will do this on your behalf.
It is the responsibility of full members and associate members to keep full and accurate records of all its members.
